His 22 years of active participation in ASTM Committee D 05 on Coal and Coke and ISO TC27 on Solid Mineral Fuels uniquely qualifies QAI, LTD. to provide a comprehensive review of coal and coke quality systems and testing procedures. He has chaired and participated on numerous ASTM and ISO task groups and subcommittees developing and revising ASTM and ISO standards and has held numerous positions on the Committee D 05’s Executive Subcommittee, including Chairman. He was awarded Committee D 05’s R. A. Glenn Award for outstanding contributions in the development of ASTM standards relating to coal and coke and ASTM’s highest award, the Award of Merit, with the honorary title of Fellow.
